IN THE FRAMEWORK OF ERASMUS+ “RAISING THE CAPACITIES OF YOUTH NGOs FOR RURAL YOUTH PARTICIPATION IN DEMOCRATIC LIFE – VOTE” PROJECT WE ARE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE 2021 ESSAY COMPETITION


We are pleased to announce the launch of the Essay Competition on the topic of:

“Democracy, Politics, Pandemic. My path in Italy’’


The contest is open to everyone: academics, students (graduate, MBA, undergraduates), practitioners, independent scholars and all Italian citizens under the age of 20-35.


CONTEST RULES

DEADLINE: All essays must be received by the 30th of November 2021. The essays must be submitted before the deadline to email: team@fyca.net


TERMS:

By submitting your essay, you declare that you are the author, is based on accurate historical data, and that you give us your consent to publish the essay on the Project Webpage.


FORMAT:

Essays should be between 1/2 pages A4 format (Times New Roman, 12 point font) including a list of references at the end. In case of need of references, we encourage authors to hyperlink to cited sources whenever possible. All submitted essays must be in English, in case of language difficulties also in Italian. On the first page should be mentioned: Author name, surname, age, contact info: Email, Mobile, and position.


ADJUDICATION: The submissions will be judged by jurors drawn from the VOTE program.


PRIZES: The prize for the best essay 1ST place is the gift card Lafeltrinelli BOOK STORE (Price 40 Euro), 2nd Place Lafeltrinelli Book Store gift card (Price 30 Euro).

Other participants will receive the certificates for participation by the VOTE Erasmus project with the signature of the Vote program manager, and for the final step, we will gather all participants online for discussing and making new network for further collaborations and new projects.

About the project:

“Raising the capacities of youth NGOs for rural youth participation in democratic life – VOTE!” long-term project aims to bring European organisations working in rural youth development and raise the capacities of youth NGOs to encourage youth active participation in European democratic life and elections.

The project aims to contribute to the capacity building of youth workers from civil society organizations, particularly the ones working with rural youth and public authorities at the local and regional level to be able to increase the level of youth democratic participation. At the same time that focuses also on the capacity building of youth leaders from local rural communities.
